A new survey by makefriendsonline.com reveals that the majority of us are too tired or busy to follow old traditions like Valentines Day .
Out of the 8,500 people surveyed, 60 per cent probably wouldnt make love with their partner because its Valentines Day compared to any other day of the year. As people gain responsibilities this percentage is likely to increase.
Other facts the survey revealed:
For people aged between 18-24 years 50 per cent expected to make love to their partners on Valentines Day, but on 37 per cent still felt this in their mid 30s.
It was mostly men, 43 per cent, who were hopeful of a night of passion compared to only 36 per cent of women feeling the same way.
Out of all the star-signs in the zodiac, Leos would be the most likely to make love on Valentines but an Aquarian is the most likely to have a headache.
Ealing is the sexiest area in the UK with 66 per cent of the residents anticipating some Valentines loving.
In Sutton only 11 per cent of the residents will be expecting to celebrate with more than flowers on Valentines.
Martine Bysh, MD of Makefriendsonline said, I think its inevitable that passion will wane when people have the worries of mortgages, children and a looming recession . But lets hope this survey will serve as a little reminder that we need to put time aside for our partners too
