In the US, the Greeting Card Association estimate that up to one billion
valentines cards are sent. This makes Valentine’s Day the second biggest card selling
holiday after
Christmas . They also found that it was mainly women, 85 per cent, who purchased the cards.
Men usually shower their ladies with

jewellery,
teddy bears, flowers and chocolates. Some men try to please their beloved by buying cute
puppies, handmade chocolate, expensive
lingerie and sensuous perfumes. But this year you could try something different. How about a mobile phone? It may not sound very romantic but retailers have great Valentine’s Days offers.
